Mercato Mayfair

Ever wanted to do a pilgrimage to eat in as many churches as possible ?
This one is to add to St Nicaise in Rouen, and The Church in Dublin !

Mercato Mayfair is located very close to Oxford Street, in central London.

Built in 1825, it was listed in 1958. St Mark’s church was deconsecrated in 1974 due to the congregation’s decline following World War II and the food hall Mercato Mayfair opened in 2019.

It now houses bars and a huge food court under the vaulted ceiling.
Eating pizza next to stained glass is always a nice experience.

Beware though, most food stalls only take cards.
