A goth summer dream
In August 2025, for the release of season 2 of Wednesday, Netflix France created a spooky beach along the Seine. There was a preview for influencers with Jenna Ortega and Tim Burton a few days before the grand opening.
Jealous ? Me ? Noooooo, those aren’t tears, I’m just allergic to favoritism.
Spooky aesthetics near the musée d’Orsay
The beach was then open for an entire month every day, offering various activities.
Forget traditional beach vibes. This was about “spooky summer” goals.
The aesthetics were spot on, and for those of us with the Addams spirit, it was like coming home.
I really enjoyed the ping pong table with barbed wire. Nothing says “fun” like the threat of a tetanus shot.
A complimentary postcard was also given and everything warmed my little dark heart.
Skeletons and sandcastles on the Seine
A sandcastle turned into the Addams manor ? Perfection.
Random tombstones near the Musée d’Orsay? More please.
A skeleton-filled foosball table? Hell yeah!
And soooooo many photolocations to exploit. It was truly a dream.
My own “Thing”
I couldn’t resist. I brought my own “Thing” for an impromptu photoshoot.
Look at how proud he was of “its” sandcastle!

Because “it” didn’t really know Paris, Thing even got to see the nearby Louvres
Why Paris needs more spooky events : It’s really a bummer that this wasn’t a year-round thing.
We cruelly lack the joyfulness of dead things that aren’t depressing.
Why can’t every beach have barbed wire and goth cabins ?
