Lenore the cute little dead girl

Everyone knows Tim Burton. The books, the movies, the art.
Everyone knows Edgar Allan Poe.

But little do they know that they inspired one of the most fun characters of the 2000s.

Lenore.

A cute little dead girl in comic form.
She is a version of Wednesday Addams if she was ever buried in the Pet Sematary and came back on crack.

Worms have eaten about 39,4% of her brain. She hangs out with a reincarnated vampire in a plush.
His name is Ragamuffin. None of it makes any sense, it is glorious.

You follow her as she causes voluntary and involuntary mayhem along the way. Whether it’s her rejecting Mr Gosh’s advances, or befriending a demon bucket head named Pooty, there is never a dull moment in her world.
Lenore kills a lot of animals though, so beware.

She has the attention span of a 2 years old with a brain injury, and her lack of morals makes her both unpredictable and scary. In a cute little girl form.

I’m not going to lie to you, I have most of the comics, I have the figurines, one of my dogs is named Lenore because of this character, I love her little weird universe.
But you should discover it for yourself if you’re into very millenial humour.

The pages also include some art from her creator Roman Dirge, and some of his life stories.
The one in the toilets in Japan is a fun quick read.

And don’t ever forget : Chicken go bok bok booook !

I do not own this image. It has been on my computer for 15 years. Credits to its owner.

And here is a side by side with IRL Lenore, for good measure.
