The Ron Mueck exhibition was held at the Fondation Cartier in Paris’s 14th arrondissement.
The Australian sculptor exhibited seven of his works there from June 8 to November 5, 2023.
Many of them had already been spoiled by the event’s promotion on social media, such as the mountain of skulls –Mass (2017)-, for example.
The exhibition was interesting to see, especially the fiberglass-based creation techniques, but since tickets cost between €7 and €11, if I’m being honest, it wasn’t worth the money unless you’re studying art history or passionate about his works.
After its run in Paris, this traveling exhibition continued its global tour, making stops Milan, Seoul, and Tokyo (until September 2026).
While the full lineup of sculptures sometimes varies depending on the venue, the skulls remain the highlight of the venues.
