Be it Terrifier, which created a new slasher God in the gore category, while we get the elevated version with Obsession.
Iron Lung also deserves an honorable mention in this list…
I can’t wait to see Backrooms, and Colony, but honestly, 2026 shows that many studios have lost the plot.
Trying the same things over and over again are not fun anymore for the audience.
Leave The Strangers prequels and the 6th Insidious sequel behind and embrace the magnificent insanity coming from Youtubers and small studios.
Not everything from A24 or Blumhouse is good anymore, so trust those new horror lovers, it’ll be worth it.
